Beauty Is A Spectrum 2: An Army Of Fluid Identities
Toxic beauty ideals deeply ingrained in patriarchal, capitalistic structures and heteronormative beliefs have perpetuated sexist, racist, ableist and ageist views on beauty 4 FAR 2 LONG. The harmful narrative of determining attractiveness or prettiness has resulted in discrimination and marginalization of individuals who do not conform.
By blurring and blending the boundaries that divide us based on external factors, such as feminine/masculine, black/white, disabled/abled, old/young, big/small, or even real and surreal, I strive to create unconventional captivating, melted-merged portraits— an empowering army of alienated, fluid identities.
They are ready to break free from the shackles of restrictive ideals and socially constructed categories. They embrace self-expression and the innate, unfiltered beauty, that resides within each and every one of us. A vibrant (beauty) spectrum of inclusivity emerges— MANIFESTING UNITY among all.
