The purpose of my work is to create my own images using diverse objects and topics by assembling photography and natural science. My scientific artwork shines a light on alternative ways of dealing with natural science through various methods of observation. In my research I try to understand the world of physics to implicate it into my artwork. I’m also interested in questions concerning the construction of reality: is it shaped by science or by language? In my work I explore mathematics by asking the question whether it is something we discovered or constructed in our brains.

My photography focuses on translating my visual language, by constructing, transforming and integrating a new imagery of structure, geometry and colour to make it accessible for the observer. My aim is to inspire the viewers and broaden their horizons by questioning traditional ways of dealing with natural science. (Marlene Mautner)
